Hi foxtrotting friends,
Just saying, if you’re anything like me, I’d much rather be given a book for that special day … What book did your special person (yes, obviously can be yourself!) last buy you?
I’m back at school and, yikes, life has already got a little crazy already, so please excuse me writing this newsletter at a rushed rate of knots and turn a blind eye to typos because I’ve only just realized I’ve committed to sending a newsletter out today and I’m actually super busy doing other stuff: Editing. Publishing. Marketing etc.
Anyhooooo.
I’ve never thought of my journey into writing romance being quirky, but maybe it is a tad unusual. I was delighted to be interviewed for our local Mornington Peninsula magazine this month. They even said some nice things! I’ve provided a link below if you want to read details.
If you’d like to read the article click below:
I’m going to keep the rest of this newsletter short and sweet because I’m flat out trying to put finishing touches to my debut novel coming out on 1st March. Woohoo! I seriously cannot wait.
Hitherto, my books have all been novellas, and I’m so so excited to be able to publish my first full novel and finally share Alice and the Impossible Game with you. It’s a roadtrip romance and has been such a blast to write. Have you preordered your copy? Please do! Apart from the fact that you’ll get it at a bargain price, it also helps to boost my visibility on Amazon, which in turn helps sales.
Here’s a taste of what’s to come:
Alice Havoc was raised to believe in the impossible...until she finds herself in an impossible fix: her gap year travel plans hit a major roadblock—thanks to her identical twin sister, Tilly, who has bailed without apology or explanation, leaving Alice stranded and penniless in Australia. Admittedly, Alice hasn’t always been the best of sisters. Desperate to mend their relationship, she reluctantly agrees to Tilly’s absurd ‘Impossible Things Game’.
But Alice didn’t count on Guy Balcombe—whom she may have ‘accidentally’ kissed and who Tilly may have been romantically involved with—being thrown into the mix.
Guy, focused solely on his musical career and 100% committed to his band, finds himself in need of a quick fix: a bandaid for his band, now minus a singer, a plus-one for his brother’s wedding in less than a week, and, after his unfortunate accident, a chauffeur for the long drive home.
Could a road trip prove the ultimate fix, or will being stuck together throw a spanner in Alice and Guy’s best-laid plans and New Year’s resolutions? Will hearts be wrenched or fixed?
There's only one way to find out: buckle up, hit the road, and let the impossible adventure begin. Feel the sizzle, laugh at the havoc, and through every twist and turn of the story, learn to embrace the improbable and believe in the impossible.
And some links to make it a little easier to preorder!
A massive thank you to everyone who’s already ordered their copy and shown me such lovely support. If you enjoy reading it and would like to review it, that would be grand! More on Alice and the Impossible Game soon….
